Lexi Mittelstadt, who joined the staff as a student assistant in the summer of 2023, played three seasons for the Black Bears. After assisting Maine's staff in earning an America East title in 2024, Mittelstadt returns for her second year as a student assistant with the Black Bears.
During her career with Maine (2020-2023), Mittelstadt appeared in 25 games.
Before her time at UMaine, Mittelstadt excelled during her high school career at Mt. Blue where she served as a captain for three seasons and became a 1,000 point scorer during her senior season. She was named a finalist for the Miss Maine Basketball accolade and earned a spot on the McDonald's All-Star team. During her junior season, Mittelstadt led her league in scoring (20 points per game), 3-point field goals made and assists per game. As a junior, she was named all-region and to the KVAC first team. She earned KVAC First-Team honors as a sophomore and was named to All-Rookie Team following her freshman campaign. With Blue Wave AAU, she earned All-Tournament Team honors while helping her team capture the Zero Gravity National Championship. Mittelstadt traveled to Washington D.C. to play in the U.S. Junior National Tournament.
Mittelstadt earned her degree in psychology from UMaine in May of 2024.
