ORONO, ME – The University of Maine baseball team defeated Colby College Tuesday night, 13-4.

First Inning:
Quinn McDaniel got the Black Bears going in the first frame as he hit an RBI single to left field, bringing home
Jordan Schulefand.
Jeremiah Jenkins scored later in the frame on a wild pitch thrown by Cabot Maher.

Cy Probst then collected his first collegiate hit as he beat out a grounder to third base, bringing home
Quinn McDaniel on the play.

Third Inning: Cabot Maher got Colby on the board in the third inning as he hit an RBI single to left field, bringing home Brady O'Brien.

Scout Knotts got the run back in a hurry for the Black Bears as he hit a solo home run to left field.

Fifth Inning: The Black Bears put 3 runs up in the bottom of the frame as
Myles Sargent hit a 2-run single to left field, bringing home
Joe Bramanti and
Scout Knotts.
Mike Pratte plated the third run of the frame as he hit a sac-fly to center field, bringing home Sargent.

Sixth Inning: The Black Bears put up another 5 runs in the seventh inning.
Dylan McNary scored on a passed ball to get the scoring going.
Joe Bramanti hit a two-run home run to right field, bringing in
Quinn McDaniel.
Myles Sargent also hit a two-run home run to make it 12-1 Black Bears.
Connor Goodman scored on the Sargent home run.

Eighth Inning: Charlie Furlong hit a 3-run home run to right field in the top of the frame, driving in Jack Dorsey and Ethan Hillenberg.

Marshall Smaracko (1-0) picks up the win for the Black Bears.
