Lauren on UMaine: “Out of all the universities that I was in contact with, UMaine was the only university that left me feeling excited about attending.  UMaine had all the key elements that I was looking for; unity and togetherness, friendly and well educated staff, and a soccer team that made my visit a memorable one.  The fit was right for me.  Becoming a Black Bear to me means becoming a part of a well-knit family that knows what it means to competitively work hard and compete at top levels.  This type of enthusiasm is the ultimate atmosphere for me.”

Coach Atherley on Lauren: "Lauren is widely considered one of the top goalkeeper prospects in Canada.  She has all of the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological qualities necessary to become an elite goalkeeper.  She has the perfect temperament for her position, and her physical and mental attributes are rivaled only by her positive attitude and work rate”.
